Interesting article.

I see that the 5th test was played on Christmas Day with Boxing Day as the rest day. Very odd.

Aussie reserve players on the tour: Jock Irvine, Laurie Mayne, and Ray Jordan, none of whom played FC cricket for more than 12 months afterwards. Irvine in particular had a horror tour of India. Raised at the WACA, he was probably clueless on Indian wickets.
