If i am not mistaken the Lords test match ALSO started on May 17th 2001, that match was played between Pakistan and England. Unfortunately for millions of fans Pakistan LOST that match but thankfully they went on to win the next match at Old Trafford (RIP David Shephed, i hope he is in heaven)

Seems like a good performance with the ball from Scotland. Even in batting they were doing quite well until Hafeez came on to bowl.

Not sure why Ehsan Adil has been selected in the Pakistani squad, he isn't all that quick and i am quite confident that there are around 5 better ODI fast bowlers in Pakistan.

Well done Ireland. As good an ODI team as Bangladesh and Zimbabwe. Now they need to figure out how to hang on to their talented players, as guys like Dockrell and Stirling are on England's radar.

I am surprised the match was declared a tie because i remember from previous games that when DL method is applied tie is taken out of the equation.

I will be interested in knowing the exact the calculations.

In case of a tie by DL, the bowl out or super over are taken out of the equation in 2020s, at least it was so in the 2020 cup a few years ago. Ties have always been there, South Africa Sri Lanka 2003 wc.

Pakistan should NOT play Ehsan Adil, he bowls at a slowish pace and isn't much of a threat. Some one like Riaz will be a better option.
