I have watched the first few episodes and I thought it was pretty good, but I haven't seen the English version.

The English series was shown in the early nineties in think. Starred Ian Richardson. It was brilliant.

Thought the English version was brilliant. Richardson was great at the dramatic irony demanded by his role. Think Spacey would make a good villain too.

The English version was so brilliant, the Seppoes couldn't possibly match it, and there's about a 99.9% chance they'll screw it up, like they normally do.

Richardson put the arch in villain.
