Sad

Been there and done that, and back in the mid 90s I had a couple of twisted molars pulled out by a team of donkeys in an experience I could never repeat ... and I am still dealing (the most recent sweaty experience) with one cranky fragmented molar that gives me grief occasionally but I'm not ready to lose

re 'should dentists fart', I was thinking about eating a mountain of cabbage, barbecued steak, and dried apricots before my next visit, to try to keep it shorter

***groan***....am in the middle of some extremely expensive torture myself at the moment.....had a fall and did two front teeth (where's xmas when one needs a pagan festival)...wont go into the gory and bloody details....have now seen 4 dentists (one specialist) in the past two days...2 said forget expensive restoration because it will fail...the other 2 quoted significant sums, pooh poohed failure rates and am certain were looking at internet prices for new yachts while quoting

Have 31.5 teeth and ended up in the ICU cos a dentist couldn't locate a fractured jaw just alongside a breaking molar.

They are qunts.

6 years ago I lost a filling. The TQ put in a temp filling so I had to go back after 2 weeks. He then said I need a root canal as the tooth would not hold a normal filling. I counter proposed that we leave the temp filling In and see what happens.
Guess what.....

The classic ploy is, when the Dentist first leans over, you grab a good handful of his nads, look him in the eye & say 'we ar'nt going to hurt each other, are we.'

What amuses me is that they expect you to pay up front and when the dental nurse announces the size of the bill at the end it's some astronomical number that she rattles off as if it was a stock standard groceries bill at the supermarket when you go through the express lane.

And my quntish dentist makes me go and chase up the private health deductions rather than letting me do it as others allow, at the point of bill payment. He also likes to ask you questions when he has his tools in your mouth.

Had root canal last year and I don't know what was worse, the horror of the treatment or the bill.

Two weeks ago I had my 6 month check up. He did a filling and I had to go back for another two fillings. Add In a quick stop with the hygienist and my medical aid got zapped 2k.

As far as root canal goes I am convinced it's a scam.

Red, I would be careful of tools near your mouth but I guess the questions must have been interesting.
