Steve O'Keefe takes Hauritz's spot in Test squad

Steve O'Keefe's dramatic rise from New South Wales fringe player has continued with him replacing Nathan Hauritz in Australia's Test squad for the two games against Pakistan. O'Keefe, a left-arm spinner, impressed with nine wickets in Australia A's two matches with Sri Lanka A over the past two weeks to gain an unexpected promotion.

Warne's debut bowling figures weren't stellar either.

But that doesn't mean we should pick every hack spinner in the hope that 0-100+ on debut will turn up a 700-wicket wonder.

He's actually got an okay FC record...

I don't think Australia will produce a leggy who can emulate Warne's drift through to the batsman.

Well, in fairness, I don't think we'll ever debut anyone again that will turn into a 700-wicket wonder.
