Be interesting to hear Furry and Trike's views on his proposed treatment.

Re: Clive Rice has brain tumour
He'll get the best treatment. The competent doctors are high quality. My father was admitted with cancer just last year. Completely fine these days.
While expensive, especially by our standards, it should still be far cheaper than treatment in USA or Europe without social security. I'm unaware about South Africa though.
All the best to him.

Grim. I hope he pulls through, with expert help.
One of those whose international career was most unfortunately blighted by You-Know-What.

Taips- What trike said.
The private sector medical facilities are world class and, if you're from a western nation, cheap. 'Medical tourism' is big business in India.
It's the Indians who end up paying through the nose, given Indian salaries.

Re: Clive Rice has brain tumour
Terrible news.
66.
He was like the spirit of the game in many ways. Highly competitive, a complete all-rounder, but fair-minded too.
Another very sad loss.

That sucks.
Was responsible for bringing KP over to England too. So we owe him one. In a good way. Mostly.
RIP.

Re: Clive Rice has brain tumour
When Cricket SA refused to acknowledge the passing of two apartheid-era greats, Peter van der Merwe and fast bowler Neil Adcock, Rice was furious, telling Cricket SA (officials) to stay away from his funeral. CSA’s claims that the players were refused honour since they played during the apartheid-era caused a huge furore.
