207/0 off 33 overs. 112 off 102. England are bound to win this

And that is exactly why AB should not be allowed anywhere near a decision making capacity

England never look to take wickets when defending a big score. They've made progress with their batting, but the bowling and captaincy is the same as it's always been- sit back, try and restrict them, and watch them score with ease.
Willey is powder puff if it's not swinging, Topley is too slow, Jordan gets zero movement no matter what the conditions, Moeen bowls too many soft deliveries in a leg stump line, and You never quite know what you're going to get with Rashid.
Oh, and the Roy run out was the most atrocious piece of cricket I've seen from England all winter.

Nil desperandum, Trev.
England lacked a penetrative spearhead/leader of the attack, in this match particularly. And the SAf openers were outstanding.

Another high scoring match. A very good chase by SA with de Kock really giving England a taste of what he has to offer.

Aye, it's odds-on a recall for Broad for the next game, although the bowler we miss most in this format is Finn

There was a reason Broad was dropped from the ODI side- he'd been rubbish in that form of the game for two years. To be honest I'd prefer if he stayed rubbish in ODIs and just played in tests. It's helped his bowling since the World Cup.

So would I, but they haven't picked him to be JimmyT's Bag-carrier.

Well it was fun while it lasted, but normal service has resumed- England 28-1 after seven overs needing a score of 400 to be competitive.

It's hard to see how England expect to win with just four batsmen in their side, especially when three of those are out-and-out hitters, who are more likely to get out than score a hundred. Having the keeper + six guys who bat a bit, and bowl to varying degrees, is overkill when so many of them are works in progress. Who knows, maybe today is the day when Chris Woakes steps up and proves himself an international cricketer. But I really think James Taylor should be batting at 5 in this side. It's not as if he scores slowly, or as if he hasn't scored runs in ODIs.
