With his first ball in test cricket, Tshepo Moreki traps Devon Conway LBW for 1.

A couple of weeks ago, it was Shamar Joseph & now Moreki has joined the club.

This looks like SA's worst attack ever. Perhaps they could have turned to that guy who bowls 150ks in theit Under 19 squad they've predicted a big future for.

Less than enthralling, this one. Brand did take 6-for, but he was expensive. Not much else to get excited about for South African fans.

The qunts deserve everything they get, given the disrespect they have shown Test Cricket.

They’re not alone. West Indies? The cream of the Afghans? Boult? Money talks, unfortunately.

I hope there is a solution, something to get the best players playing Test cricket more regularly.

Holder said it when he was captain, WI make a profit in tests when India and England tour, and they break even when Australia tour. That should be the same for all but 3 countries. Ireland campaigned hard to get into test cricket, but can't afford to host one now that they're a test team .

If the recent suggestions of the top 3 funding tests happens for all, then it'll cast in stone the two tier structure as when the ladder is threatened, the funding would be stopped.

With SA, there's also county cricket ravaging the their top and second rung players (which should attract a lot more attention). It's not a nice look, but how can they stop losing players without raising their own money? And the SA20 has been successful on that front after Mzansi failed.

Corona helped expose how frail a lot of boards' finances were (Wasps in rugby another example). SLC seems not horrid despite their country's significant economic problems in 2020-21.

SA appear destined to fade out of test cricket and just focus on the truncated forms.
