Aus vs India, 3rd Test, Perth, 16-20 Jan (II)
(continued from PART ONE (here)...)
Realistically, India only need another 100 runs to set Australia a target they won't be able to chase down - between Pathan, VVS, Dhoni and Kumble they should get them pretty easily.

yeah right .. stop woofing you silly fellow. Even without any woof, they are pretty capable of crumbling by themselves.
How can you even see 50 more runs being added, let alone a 100.

India is finished .. this is the last rites in progress.
Sad .. pretty sad.

I'm deadly serious... Aus will not chase 350+. And Pathan will get another 50 on his own the way he is going.*Buckaroo* wrote:ojitarian wrote:Realistically, India only need another 100 runs to set Australia a target they won't be able to chase down - between Pathan, VVS, Dhoni and Kumble they should get them pretty easily.

As oji has implied - India are in the driving seat but another slip or two and it alll changes once again, before it changes again.

400 runs is around 125 away with 5 wickets. very gettable
poor batting by the top order. our 2nd innings record really is dire. cost us quite a few test series wins (sa 2007, eng 2006, pak 2005)

I think what is clear from this thread is that Indian fans are far better woofers than the pomgolian equivalents and are equal with Oz fans

both teams have been disgraceful....violet and punter should have their match fees docked...gangle too for his warranted delays to the game

mind you the only paying spectators are zimmy and a few of his wussie mates, so the care index is low re low over rates and the local paying cusomers being ripped off

You could make the point that the match is so far advanced that Australia's second innings will probably start at about the same time that a third innings would begin in a five day match.
Therefore consideration of fourth innings targets should perhaps be viewed with a hint of leniency.

Ian Healy(For once) had a pretty good idea the other day- If a team can't bowl 90 overs in a day, then delay the time when they can take the new ball for each over that they are behind.

How does he do that if he's suspended?
But I do agree ............ suspending the offending captain/s is the only way

They'll use the Clive Lloyd excuse ....'We finished within 5 days , Why does it matter how fast we bowled our overs'...

Good idea until you give it two seconds thought.
What if the offenders have shite pacemen & are happy to bowl with the old ball?
What if all the time lost was spent loading the old ball that's now bending more than a new ball might?
