Last ODI in progress, already looks like yet another win to India. I feel a bit sorry for the Sri Lankans.

They need to drop Angelo Mathews. He's been crushing along contributing next to nothing since he gave away the captaincy. Consistently gets out to bad shots when well set.

They also need to stop picking dead wood players who never have made it in the past and never will make it in the future like Thirimanne. Here's a guy they just can't seem to part with, despite his mediocre record at international level. Their selections are too political, and the government has too much influence over the team.

Granted the Lankans are caught in a rebuild phase but this defeat is more on account of running into a team against which playing conditions ceased to matter.

Very strong (and strong for some time) against severely weakened, and weakening. It was always going to be ugly for Sri Lanka.

So the Bannies swept the tour with the win overnight in the sole T20.

They'd barely get to 100 without Mathews.

That's about as dominant as a tour can be. Great as a fan, but terrible as a spectator.
