RIP Hugh Masekela, an elegant jazz muso and activist. One 'celeb' who contributed to a better world.

Nice for your dad; unforgivable for you.
Possibly the sagest thing Horrie has ever posted on FB.

And qmy, imagine 3 chord dirges accompanied by a singer who sounds as though he is battling terminal constipation, but still bravely striving to squeeze one out.

God I hated the Tellytubbies. Like with a vengeance. Wanted to deep six their creator, streaming blood, into the Gulf. I fantasised about throwing her into a croc infested river in the NT.
Hate, hate, vomit.
Hate, hate, vomit.

Most of it I could handle. Loved "The Hoobs" and "Bear in the Big Blue House". Barney had some cool secondary characters to make up for Barney being pure evil," The Wiggles" used to shit me, "Thomas the Tank engine", "Postman Pat", "Fireman Sam" and "Bob the Builder" these were cool. The "Hooley Dooleys" were worse than the farking "Wiggles". That stupid five minute cartoon where some ALF gets catapaulted off it's home planet to explore other worlds was probably educational but the music should have been deep sixed along with Billionaire Bitch from the Tellytubbies.
In the old days it was easy. I used to watch Sesame Street and Play School with my little sister (I use to babysit).

Obviously you're someone whose kid's grew up with Sesame Street and Play School. But I will endeavour to find them on youtube and compare. Maybe they'll be on the JJJ Hot 100 or WTF they're calling it.

Re: Celebrity Death List MMXVIII/The Death Thread 2018
I remember Play School when Noni Hazelhurst was hot.
Sesame Street was outstanding at times. Some recollection of Catweazle and The Electric Company as well.
Thomas the Tank was so loved by my first lad that we ended up with all the videos. On Betamax. They're probably worth a fortune. Or not.
The Simpsons and South Park came later.
We have been a Teletubby-free zone.

I knew Leonie before she became Noni. Unfortunately not an ex. As a teen LH was intelligent, funny and a lovely engaging person.

That's sounds creepier than I am sure it was meant to.
