He's 27. As I mentioned during the test series, the quota can be balanced over all three formats. Logically Berhardien should play, but he doesn't address the black African quota. The sad part is that the "previously disadvantaged" players are coming through well, but these type of selections are muddying the situation. It is also not helped by the ANC looking for votes

He has helped the quota though. The SA sports minister has said that the teams are too white; Duminy helps in this respect. It seems skin colour is still as relevant to selection of teams as it was when SA was banned from cricket etc.
