Labuschagne confirmed as squad addition. Averaging 28 with the bat this season & 59 with the ball. Should be a perfect addition.

Maybe the selectors got Marnus and Marsh confused.

With Laboo-Shane's selection maybe Fink will get a reprieve down the order.

Seriously, Puddle must've known he was playing for his cricketing life, yet lifted his head to a half volley in I1, and played a heinous hoik in I2. Farking sacrilege for a player in is position.
If he was genuinely good enough (which he ain't, certainly mentally), he would've made a serious head-down-sniff-the-ball contribution in at least one innings in T3.
Same goes for Fink. He was guilty of two poor shots as well.

So there are two players we know cbnlg has x'd out on character grounds - Renshaw, Maxwell. I wonder how many others?
Stoinis maybe. He left East Pretoria to get a go, only returning because his dad was near death. Last Shield season the gnome batted him down the list behind Heross and the worst cricketer to get a baggy green. I am no fan of Stoinis but if gifted 30 Tests I doubt his record would be as bad as the Hollow Man.
I have no doubt Hollow Man will play in Sydney. The supine fleas has already gone to bat for him.

Re: Australia v India, 4th Test, Sydney, 3-7 January, 2019
It will be 2-2. We blew it in 2004 last day we will blow it now. Last test series I saw was 4-0 home revenge on Pup. Stopped all cricket once Dravid-Laxman called it a day not seeking a farewell series they deserved. Yesterday after 4 years tried seeing last 2 wickets purely on nostalgia but cable conked out. I had backed Pujara to be the next generation replacement Dravid- Laxman before he was chosen some years ago. He isn't as brilliant as either but glad to see he is at least 25% of each so half there. Sehwag was treated most badly. A MO bat who selflessly opened where our Legends feared. Dhoni politics claimed him when he had 2 years as middle order bat left to give. I haven't seen any Indian Team Play in 4 years not even last WC India made to finals. Except Pujara-Ashwin-Rahane-Kohli-Sharma no idea what rest can do. If we finally beat Aus in Australia the team has it. This must be the weakest Aus side but then we lost 3-2 to one such led by a retired Bob Simpson so won't hold out hopes. I haven't missed cricket this while and this win neither excites me nor will feel anything should we stumble at Sydney. History though is against us world's second best final chokers. And no not reverse woofing.

Not I, said the fly.
I'll be screaming at the inept Aus batsmen on the TV in Port Macquarie, at least for the 1st 2 days.
Is Ashtray still injured?

Classic gnome. He increasingly sounds like a Trumpian.
No rationale for the Langoustine call up nor for Hollow Man's selection.either the bloke cannot lie down straight in bed or he really is as thick as a brick.
The crap about Fink being able to transition to red ball cricket is a joke. Fink is a good bloke, but at best he is not an automatic selection for the Vic middle order. He has had donkeys years to show he has the technique for first class cricket. He might make it as a number 5 but asking him to open is just dumb. Who knows. Fink may have made it in the middle order. We and he will never know.

One of the things I learned as a boss was the pitfall of giving someone a bit of work they had no chance of accomplishing. It is fundamentally cruel. I saw particularly nasty bosses do this as a deliberate tactic to persuade staff members their career prospects lay elsewhere.

NO WAY. Hollow Man will be selected. cbnlg is punting that Hollow Man will fill his boots (and the rest of himself) against the puny Bannie attack. He will make run(s) and while not taking all the wicket(s) to fall he will bowl very tightly (as Fleas puts it in a way that makes some of us uncomfortable - not that there is anything wrong with that). Catching is like shelling peas for Hollow Man, except they fall out of the pod and miss the pot.
Above all as vc Hollow Man adds that intangible quality of steady leadership. It is what the team and the nation rely upon. It is rumoured ScumMo is attending the Test.
(The Tory wardrobe dept are debating whether he will wear the traditional leadership mantle of the baseball cap or don the Don's baggy green)
It is understood Hollow Man will give a short one on one mentoring session to ScumMo. The nation can only win from this.
After his brief appearance at the wicket, Hollow Man will spend minute(s) in the ABC commentary booth with Jim Maxwell. Observations will be passed on the state of the game, the importance of breeding and the quality of the red wine(s) Jim consumed before the toss(er).
