Beginning of the end
So says some Aus journo. Beginning of the end for Indian icons
Seems some agree that India is probably closer to the end of an era than Aus is.

"Of the big five, only Tendulkar will remain in Australia for the triangular one-day series."
Is this right?? So Kumble, Dravid, VVS AND Gangles, all go home??? Jebus, that seems to be suicide.

It would appear, even the next Ganguly or Manjrekar is not coming through. Simply because such clones indeed do not exist anymore. The damages caused by the exits of such components such as Dravid and Tendulkar will be incalculable, irrepairable, irreplacable and indeed immense, Captain. The dilithium crystals that propel the Indian ship will run out of power much more faster, by approximately 79.99% in the next three Earth years.

Kumble retired from ODIs post World Cup in West Indies. Laxman has NOT been considered a good one day player since the past two World Cups in general and has not been selected in ODIs since he last played in Pakistan in 2004. As for Dravid and Ganguly being axed from what will be a disaster one day tournament, read the Ganguly out of the ODI squad thread.
It would appear you have been living in the Mirror Universe for the past two Earth days, where such unfortunate events may not have occured. In which case some degree of your natural confusion is understandable and indeed logical.

There are a few decent batsmen, but no one bursting through.

no no. you see the t20 world cup win proved that we do not need seniors for odis since its pretty much the same game. and since odis too are pretty similar to tests you could see gambhir and uthappa opening the batting pretty soon, raina at 3 and yuvraj at 4
somebody get me my gun

Sehwag was the last one who seemed to copy Sachin's shot making.
