English Domestic Season 2020

So, the four day game will comprise three regional conferences of six teams, playing five games. Top two teams play a final at Lord's.

There will also be some sort of T20 competition. It's possible the season won't end until after the start of October.

Was wondering if there'd be any County Cricket this year.

The four day competition is being played for the Bob Willis Trophy.

The ECB, understandably are making this up as they go along. Hampshire are playing their home games at Arundel, and Lancs are playing at Liverpool because Old Trafford and the Ageas Bowl have been given over to England. Leicestershire' s home game against Lancashire will be played at New Road, because Leicester is still on lockdown and there's a hotel adjacent to the ground in Worcester making it virtually biosecure.

Ouch, a bad loss by Lancs. Not the first time I've had cause to say that.

Completely outplayed by the regular basement boys of the CC.

Useful 2nd wicket stand of 423 (unbroken) by Kent lads Jordan Cox and Jack Leaning. Both made undefeated double hundreds.

Highest partnership ever by a Kent pair and 3rd biggest unbroken stand ever in FC cricket. Handy.

Unusual also that a match is so comprehensively won that one side loses only ONE wicket - in total - against the 20 of their opposition.

Somerset are a decent side and yet, they've lost Jamie Overton to Surrey and Dom Bess to Yorkshire.

The final of the red ball competition starts today, between the Chavs and the Cider Drinkers... T20 finals to follow in a week or so’s time, they had hoped to have spectators in but obviously won’t happen now.
