Freezing my arse off in Yorkshire. First colour coverage wasn't it, for Oz.

Strange changes seem to have been made from the Test side which played just a day before ... Lillee out for Hurst (I suppose it WAS at the MCG), Mallett out for Jenner, and W Edwards retained.
It would appear that Wally's final act for Australia was with the ball, just one ball, and it yielded an extra.
Low scores in the era of 8-ball overs.

Well still coming to grips with the game, players buggered and what was the pitch like?

I don't think the pitch was the problem.
Aus started badly with both Redpath and Wally Edwards out before the score reached a dozen. Chappell Bros put on a 40 odd before wickets then fell steadily. 6 players were bowled and Aus only made it to 35 overs for all out 190 (match was 40 8 ball overs each). I reckon fatigue may have played a part.
England then took 37 overs to scratch up 7-191 with 3 run outs.
I reckon international teams were still coming to grips with the one day game at that point.
Aus went on to make the final (v Ganjas) of the inaugural JAMODI World Cup later that year.

So it was effectively a seventh day wicket .

I’ve always quite liked the idea of putting on a JAMODI for those with tickets for day 4 when a Test finishes inside three days... would be slightly strange to see it contested by two Test XIs in this day and age though!

Saw a shield match years ago where we kicked spuv arse in a couple of days, both teams chock full of test players agreed to a not too serious 20/20 type hitout. Great value for the big Sunday crowd.
