Australia v India, 4th Test, Brisbane, 15-19 January, 2021
If Puke's shoulder is no good and GCS's groin is OK, Harris will be the only change for Aus.
With Vihari having done a hammy and Jadeja busting a thumb India have run out of batsmen. Not sure what their XI will looks like.

More seriously, either Saha, Agarwal or Shaw comes in for the injured Vihari if he’s out. If Jadeja can’t play, they bring in their reserve pace man (who was OK in the ODIs). Pant was never injured so replacing him is not an issue.

Saha in for Vahari, and Pant plays as a specialist batsman?

Replacement for Jadeja is trickier, but his spin would be a luxury at the Gabba anyway.

I'm thinking ...
Rohit
Gill
Pujara
Rahane
Pant
Saha
Ashwin
Thakur
Siraj
Bumrah
Saini
assuming Vihari is unable to recover in time to play. If there is a miraculous recovery, he's in, and Thakur is out.

Abdomen injury apparently* for Bumrah. No surprise given his short run. Puts his core under massive strain.
Agarwal also in doubt after a training mishap.

I think I read that either side needed a 3-1 win to retake top spot in the rankings, so looks like the Snoozers now keep it regardless?

Yup.
If Aus win in Brissy, they go 2nd to NZ. If the Bannies win, they are 2nd to NZ.
All hail the Sheep.

Side strain for Bumrah which is a bummer for India; they are really running out of troops.

That really is unfortunate for India.
On the wicket most likely to help their pacers, they will have a very inexperienced pace attack. Saini and Siraj both appear very talented, but the short turnaround after Sydney might expose still further injuries there, and with Jadeja crocked and Ashwin in less than perfect health they really will struggle to put a good attack together. The batting is obviously OK.
No Indians out here playing Grade cricket or Buble?

BCCI doesnt give NOCs so no Bublers
Shastri's left arm crap spinners would be good enough to get 5 or 6 wickets
or they could order a couple of Ubers

Yeah this team has made me proud.
And hopefully Virat Kohli can ****** off to being the best batsman, sans captaincy

Not just the fourth test, Vihari may be out of the next series. The man has no luck, he could have been upping that 32 aggregate in home conditions.

Harris has been named to replace Puck if he doesn't recover in time.
