Difficult to get a complete XI but here's my offering, prompted by Salt's inclusion in the English team:

Phil Salt
Cec Pepper
Cayenne Williamson
Phil Mustard
Pat Cumins
Corianderson
Trevor Bay Leaf
Basil d'Oliveira
Graham Dilley
Mark Lavender
Pervez Sagehead


This team, quite well balanced I think with some useful all-rounders, will be playing for the Test Mace. Can anyone rouse up a mob of challengers, or even a player to displace Pepper so that he can umpire? If Cook is a satisfactory replacement for Pepper, then perhaps Mervyn Kitchen might be the other appointed umpire.
