Yes. I get that.

Petulance that goes right to the top with always put India 2nd over the Poms for me.

Root keeping us afloat single-handedly, batting-wise. 50 in each innings here is worth a lot more in easier conditions.

Giving ourselves something to bowl at here, even if it’s only bits and pieces 20s and 30s in support of the captain.

Great century from Root but probably not quite enough.

Aye. With scores of 18, 28, 30, 25, 17 & 32 down through the order beside Root's ton, there was enough resistance there to suggest England should've achieve that.

But credit to the persistent quality Indian bowling, Bumrush in particular.

And it’s a washout. An hour south of there I saw barely a few drops of rain until late afternoon, so just luck of the draw I guess.

We’ve dodged a potential whitewash, but need more than Root, Robinson and rain to step up in the next one.
