Celebrity Death List MMXXIV/The Death Thread 2024

As another year that was 2023 draws to an end, it's time to get your noms for 2024 ready.

The Rules:

Choose six celebrities:

- At least one must be under the age of 30 at the end of 2024 (no 30th birthday in 2024).
- At least one must be from the world of sport.
- At least one must be from the world of politics.
- No noms that cover more than one of the above categories e.g. an under-30 sportsperson.
- No doubled up noms - if someone grabs one of your preferred noms first, bad luck. So I suggest you have some back-ups noms.
- You cannot choose anyone from your 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 or 2023 lists. I repeat – do NOT pick someone you’ve previously nommed. Your all time picks are listed below.
- No sooking about anyone's selections - first in, best dressed.
- No bagsing prior to the opening time for nominations.
- Noms accepted from Midnight Dec 31, 2023 Australian Eastern Daylight Time = 1.00 PM Dec 31, 2023 GMT = 3.00 PM Dec 31, 2023 SAST = 6.30 PM Dec 31, 2023 IST - not a second before. If you nom early, your list will not count and you run the risk of others pinching your picks. There will be no clock adjudication from me. We'll rely entirely on the Forum's clock. If you submit your list and it turns out to be before midnight according to the Forum, it won't count.
- Late entries (beyond January) are welcomed within reason e.g. August is pushing it a bit.
- scoring will be as set out below.

Scoring:

The winner will be the nominator with most deaths on their list at the end of 2024. In the event of a tie, the AD scoring method will be used as a tie-breaker, as follows:

The age of the successful nominee at the last birthday before death (no rounding-up) will be taken away from 100. A blanket score of 1 point is awarded for any dying nominee aged 99 or older (as in the case of Oscar Niemeyer who was 104 - so there can be no zero or minus scores). Extra points are also awarded based on the month the nominee dies with 12 going to those in January, 11 to those in February etc. For example:

Zat (2012) - Etta James (25 Jan) (100 - 73 + 12 (for Jan)) + Oscar Niemeyer (5 Dec) ([104] = 1 point + 1 (for Dec)) – Total Pts = 41

had a seizure from 'taking the wrong dose of his ADHD medication' at some point last year ...My reading of that is he is taking more dexys than he is supposed to and probably not at the times prescribed 

still doing erratic things so probably hast got his dosage sorted
