One wonders why he martyred himself by coming back to Russia for his inevitable imprisonment and death.
I'm not a violent man, but a jacketed hollow point bullet needs to have Putin's name on it.

We missed a former Indian captain (half of a father-son combo, too) about a week ago.
Datta Gaekwad … a good innings, 95 years. He had been India’s oldest livingTest cricketer.

Also Andreas Brehme, who kicked the winning goal v Argentina in a WC final that was always going to deliver annoyance and pleasure in almost equal measure to England fans (Germany won, Argentina lost).

Also … the great Henry Rono of Kenya.
No Olympic competition for Kenya in 76 or 80 (boycott) but there seems little doubt he would have won several long distance medals at those meets, if he’d competed. Establishing 4 distance world records in about a month in 1978 was the feat I remember best. Incredible runner.

Geez, we haven't killed anyone yet in 2024 and it's March. That despite our lists being full of long term oxygen thieves.

That was a great rock song. There’s still a cult following.
Expect he’s all by himself now, despite his earlier wishes.

Also RIP Karl Wallinger (Who the hell's he, I hear you ask? Well, he wrote a couple of the very best songs of the 80s: Waterboys' The Whole of the Moon, and the prophetic Ship of Fools by World Party)
