2008 AFL thread
Well?
Surely someone's got to bag Carlton for tanking in the first game of the year, abuse Collingwood because they exist, and document Kane Johnson's little indiscretion after the Tigers' unexpected win in the first round.
6 out of 8 tips for me, I tipped Carlton (what was I thinking?) and North Melbourne (which looked good for about 20 minutes, then turned on its head to a total switch-off-the-radio disaster).
Fair start by the defending champions, Geelong.
(I've been waiting 43 years to say that)

Good Morning Ange ..... did you have a Happy Easter ?
Sorry I had to break off yesterday (to do the roast lamb justice!! )..
How was your roast dinner .... clean plates ?
BTW - do you still have the snow up there?

Well, yesterday Merlin, you said it was roast beef!
So was it lamb, or beef?
Bet you had beans on toast.

Time for the roast beef!
How's your Easter Day been so far?

5 out of 8 for me. I tipped Adelaide but don't begrudge Footscray the win. What a game that was - certainly wets the appetite for the season to come.

T'was my cock (no we didn't have chicken) up, I'm afraid (it happens when I get distracted)?
But no - it was lamb ... it is mostly lamb in this house.
Though baked beans on toast also dominate the fare - with melted cheese and a dash of Tabasco on top!!

Work ...
Easter Monday isn't a Bank Holiday in the Orient.
.... and a lack of sleep, stayed up to watch Strauss get his ton (and to put Laura in her place)

I'm sorry, it was actually cider, mead, biltong and liquorice. Don't know how I got so mixed up.

Seems like quite an easy 'mixtake' to make. Liquorice All Sorts do that to a man.....
