seems the cappucino set around the world have resolved to kick up a fuss about Tibet and will do their best to disrupt the Olympics

let's get real...the dalai lamington's crew want to go back to the good old days of a theocracy in tibet...hardly a great leap forward...more the opposite...at least tibetans get to participate in a thriving economy and are not at risk of starvation..

the lamington certainly does his own participation in the economy...his tours are heavily bankrolled by yupster western middle class types trying to 'find themselves' and he is already sponsored by the likes of Nike...suspect that is why he has been trying to cool down protests about the olympics in china...sponsor disapproval.

must say the lamington was caught red handed on an Oz Radio National report a couple of years ago saying he would favour spending a limited amount of funds on construction of a monstro golden buddha in a poor asian community in lieu of a solution to the water and sewage problem that had been killing off kids and oldies (via dyentry and cholera etc) in that community...such is the way of theocrats

Without denying the seriousness of political repression, it does seem as if many of those who turn up for protests escaped from the machines that had kept them breathing in ICU. Those who work seriously towards finding solutions (rather than blindly embrace whatever the latest fashionable issue happens to be) must sometimes be pretty embarrassed by the reasoning of some of their supporters - but then, a three digit IQ is probably a drawback in a storm trooper.
