Lord's 2009 match list ...
Soon to be announced by the ECB, MCC seem to have bagged some decent games for Lord's next season (and beyond).
Season 2009
England v. Zimbabwe (Test Match)
I.C.C. Twenty20 World Championship matches
England v. Australia (Test Match)
Friends Provident Trophy Final
England v. Australia (One-Day International - 1)
England v. Australia (One-Day International - 2)
Two Oz ODI's ... tasty!
Anyone want to have the Zim "test" ?
New Road perhaps?

In 2 test series, they always play 1 at Lords.
People seem to turn up just to enjoy the Lords atmosphere...

It was the 2 ODI's vs Australia that surprised me.
Normally we only get the one.

Not the dates - just that Lord's are expecting "a few" ... once the floodlight system has been approved this season.Ash wrote:have the world t20 matches/venues been announced yet?
The Middlesex T20 home games (3) will provide a platform for the system to be tweaked to perfection.

Nay, not that I know of. I heard they're going to spread them around, so even Northants and their sh!thouse 'picturesque' ground may get a match. It'll probably involve Pakistan and Bangladesh - with Bangladesh running out surprising victors.
Re: Lord's 2009 match list ...

Strange - I thought they were limiting the tournament to just 3 grounds?
Oval,Lords & Trent Bridge

Oh. Shame. Still, I probably wouldn't have gone. The glory hunters made it a mission WC '99. It was easier going down the shop, sneaking cans in than lining up to by a beverage. And that was with two predominantly Muslim teams playing! Quite a few were acting suspisciously drunk.
