Ah, we don't expect to make much money playing The Bangers and Windies I take it.

Fingers crossed the Windies will be well and truly competetive again by 2010. If so they'll pull a crowd.

WI normally pull a crowd in England anyway.

At a guess it's because they've only arranged 6 test matches rather than the 7 which has been the norm in recent years.
Bangladesh don't justify three tests yet, and it's a while since we played a 5-match rubber v WI.
That said, there's no obvious reason why they shouldn't have 5 in 2010 - does anyone know of one?
These 5 One-dayers v Aus will obviously make up the revenue from the absent seventh test, as has been pointed out earlier $$$$$$

I dunno, maybe there's none/less in Australia because of the World Cup and this is to make up for the shortfall?
The WC is right after the Ashes Down Under, ain't it?

Re: 2010 5 ODI's In England v Aus
Is there any point to ODIs anymore? 10 interesting power play overs at the start. 30 boring overs in the middle. 10 interesting overs at the end.
That makes 20 interesting overs. Now then, if we have to play limited overs cricket, what if we just played those 20 interesting overs in some sort of 20 interesting over format? We could call it "20interestingovers/20interestingovers" and get the London Olympics guy to design a sign and everything.
I think I've stumbled across something that is potentially extremely lucrative.

When was the last time you saw an ODI? There are 20 powerplay overs these days.
Re: 2010 5 ODI's In England v Aus
But the middle 30 overs are still boring. First ten and last ten.
I don't think I've watched a whole ODI, from start to finish, for years. They just don't interest me enough. I wouldn't be in the slightest bit bothered if they got rid of it and replaced it with 20/20.

The NZ/Eng ODI series just gone was pretty decent.
I can't remember a single thing about their two T20s, though.
