Who is wicket-keeping today considering Warney has left out Kamran Akmal.
Warney is a genius .. what could be the larger plan ?

Watto is making a mess of the Bangalore top order.
2/1 at the mo - the two being Dravid and Chanders.

Warne's cheap mob win by seven wickets. Chanderpaul, Dravid, Kallis and Boucher all failed to fire.
Watson and Smith steered the Royals home.

It wouldn't say it's a cheap mob. There were always those types of cricketers around who were not as flamboyant as the glitz and glamour crowd but did business just as well if not better.
Munaf Patel is one such .. he can easily bowl the McGrath line and length but doesn't have the McGrath brain to decipher when to change that. And that's where an intelligent captain like Warnie helps a lot to make him a performer.
Almost similar is the case with Shane Watson, he is slightly underrated.
Asif has been out of news lately but is highly effective bowler.
Yousuf Pathan is a good hitter. And now what helps is that his role has been mentioned to him in no unclear terms by Warne.
Grame Smith is getting better every day.
This is a solid team that Warne has got, and he has made it more so with his constant involvement with the team-mates and explaining them what their role is.

Agree with all that but on prima facie value they were 2mil under the other franchises. I would argue that someone like Watson was a good pick because he's a very handy all-rounder, undervalued and probably suited to T20. The other observation is that this team's Indian players seem younger and don't have the reputations of those in other teams.
The other variable was the Warne/Smith union. This had the potential to work well or be disruptive. Smith will have to bury his ego and watch Warnie issue all the instructions etc. I notice the SA skipper gets sent to the boundary to field.

Watson has possibly been the player of the tournament so far.

Watson has been the value package at 125k.
Shouldn't that be cue JGK?

He's tailor-made for T20. Not even Mydear could injure himself bowling four overs.
