The "quality stuff happened today" thread
I've noticed a lot of negative threads on this forum since I've been here, so this is an attempt to lift the mood. Post stuff that's made you happy in this thread.
Today, me and my mate's Iron Maiden tickets for the July the 4th Twickenham gig arrived.
Good times.

I just had a lovely cup of Bodum coffee with 3 perfect pieces of toast. Beat that.

Did I mention that I'd had 9 hours uninterrupted sleep immediately beforehand? I win.
Good morning Vilkrang ... your Radiohead ticket I would take, if it was 4 months later ... could you get them to defer the concert?

Thom Yorke is a bit of a twat by all accounts, so probably not I'm afraid.lardbucket wrote:Did I mention that I'd had 9 hours uninterrupted sleep immediately before hand? I win.

Thas got me wondering, how do you define a piece of perfect toast?

Call me naive but no I don't. Myself I sometimes like my toast cold with lashings of butter that doesn't melt into the bread, ala 'guest house'. Other times I like my toast hot and under done so the butter melts in and makes it squidgy, but best of all I like toast and dripping with lashings of salt.

I can't believe 'that' programme is shown across the world. I don't like it myself and I'm trying my best to think of her name, but all I can come up with are the names Mary Whitehouse/Millington, neither of which have ever played Doctor Whos sidekick.

The sofa couple are the only characters I ever really enjoyed, and even they became 'catchphrase' cringe things after a while.

You'll have to help me, because I'm pished I'm being stubborn and refusing all temptation to go into 'Google'. I've got images of Lord Longford going through my head and a burning desire to dig out an old porn film from under me bed, so do me a favour and tell me the name of the Doris that stars in the show?

No.
But you will be able to see us on the finals of live and unsigned at some point in the not-too-distant future, though. Sadly I have no idea who's broadcasting it.

Just watched the first day of the current Aus v WI Test off tape after being out of town. Going back to watch the 2nd day's play now (FF is a great thing, especially when MacDill is bowling ).
Good times.

Re: The "quality stuff happened today" thread
I spent all of morning abusing my internet service provider on phone. I needed to send some freelance stuff by e-mail to a client and couldn't get my net connection working since yesterday. Despite having paid for a full 6 months package, they disconnected it due to some backoffice error by administration on grounds of not paying service payment.
Didn't have such a good day after all even though the bastiches re-activated service after I threatened to sue them in a consumer forum for defaulting on service and consumer harrassement.

Did you get a call centre in Australia - "G'day mate, what seems to be the drama?"
