Re: The Longest day
I saw a docu on Foxy the other day about some scientist who got funding to recreate the original Stonehenge out of styrofoam to see what it really did. FFS, it was a two part "Special".
Jebus, I needed to be "stoned" to get through it all.

Re: The Longest day
Is this just the normal tangential manoeuvre we've come to expect on this forum, or does the link have some relevance to Stonehenge or the longest day - cos I ain't seeing it.Demelza wrote:See this lucky old sod had another birthday recently.......PeterCS wrote:I thought you were going to show us the whole film.

Erm, no, have you? Yes, I read his Wiki entry. Did he parachute into Stonehenge or sumpent? Or is it just the fact that he was captured in June?? [shrugs at Pomgolian vagueness]PeterCS wrote:Günther Blumentritt!!

The longest day - title of thread
(1) 1962 film - war vets -
also - (2) summer solstice - stonehenge - styrofoam.
Next question.

Re: The Longest day
Skully, It happens to be the longest day of the year today.
There is also a film called The Longest day, a war film about D Day.
I remember reading a few days ago about this man who is 112, one of the only war veterans still alive.
it's all Peter's fault.

Re: The Longest day
Yes thanks Peter, I got the reference, but not being aware of the film, it made no sense. Forgive me just this once.
