AB deVilliers and Tatenda Taibu both made hundreds in yesterday's SAf v Zim ODI. This remarkably is only the second time in ODI history that both wicketkeepers made tons.

When was the first?

Aye, nice work JGK:

ODIs where wicketkeepers from both sides scored centuries:

SL v Ind Jaipur Oct 31, 2005 KC Sangakkara 138*/MS Dhoni 183*
SAf v Zim Harare Aug 26, 2007 AB de Villiers 107/T Taibu 107*

Taibu and deVilliers effort represents the highest identical topscores in an ODI. I asked on this thread some weeks ago the 3 other times that identical 100s were scored in ODIs. They were:

100 NZ v Aus Auckland Feb 22, 1992 MD Crowe/DC Boon
102 SL v Pak Gujranwala Sep 29, 1995 A Ranatunga/Salim Elahi
106 Eng v NZ Brisbane Feb 6, 2007 PD Collingwood/SP Fleming

But can you name the lowest identical topscore by opposing sides in a completed ODI (i.e. "no result"s excluded). The game again involved Zimbabwe, and was post 1990.

England mustered an impressive 8-320 v India at Bristol last Friday, with Ian Bell topscoring with a lowly 64. This is the highest ODI total where no player passed 70.

What is the highest ODI total where no player made it into the 60s or beyond? There are two efforts over 300 where this was achieved.

Sorry tac, got my edit in too late. There are a couple of 300+ totals where the highest individual score was only in the 50s. So not the Paksters 292.

To narrow it down a bit, this occurred in the 1990s and exceeded this effort:

SAf (301-7) v Zim Johannesburg Feb 25, 2005 AM Bacher 56

but did have some similarities (i.e. one of the sides was involved in the game I'm after)!!

Yarpies 9/311 vs. Sri Lanka in 1997. Zulu top scored with 54.

Yesterday I asked when was the first time both wicketkeepers scored a ton in an ODI. It was:

SL v Ind Jaipur Oct 31, 2005 KC Sangakkara 138*/MS Dhoni 183*

Interestingly (well to me anyway!!) both highscores had the same digits.

What is the highest sum of the 2 wicketkeepers scores in an ODI where their scores do not have a similar digit (thus eliminating the above example). I remember the game well because I thought the Aus HS record was gonna be absolutely smashed.

No, probably the obvious one BGC, but the sum of Gilly's 172 and Taibu's 44 (216) is surpassed in another earlier game.

That's the one BGC. Gilly passed Deano's highest ODI score for an Aussie but I thought he was gonna get 200 the way he was flailing them.

Aye, was Alan Hurst with 6 in the 6 Test 1978-79 home series v England. We were so carp in that series that Hurst batted 12 times. FFS.
