Seeing Tait bowl again only reinforces that the IPL owners should be paying him the $1m, not the likes of Symonds.

Far too quick for most batsmen in this form of the game.

Tait appears to be learning that accuracy is more important than speed.

Geeves?

Kerist. Mug thinking by Hussey putting him up against his net batter.

Except for the behind the wicket boundaries and sixes.

Problem also is he is not a batsman or fielder.

Symonds has got it all.

20-20 is Tait's game. How bad can 4 overs be?

Hussey has now captained Australia five times and lost them all. He did make some stupid decisions like choosing to bowl out Geeves.

Aye - once again it was clear who was going to win after 22 overs.

Aye - once again it was clear who was going to win after 22 overs.

The whole point is that it had your attention for that time, and quite a few less discerning types for longer.

Boys and girls, understand this & you'll feel a lot better. 50 over cricket was never about the merits of the game, as a game. It was commercial - the counties knew that these games drew more through the gate. At about the same time, along came television, and viewers and ratings and Mcwhatevers.

If you are playing it's about the game. if you are watching FC cricket, it's the game. Anything less than a 3 day game at the higher levels it's about the money. Watch, or don't watch. Your call. But don't go screaming that the ****** fillet 'o fish don't taste like fillet mignon.

When they start mashing prime beef with sawdust to make second-rate hamburgers, I think it's OK to point this out.

People have been screaming that since the late 60's. It's losing it's impact.

But our mission is to keep on pointing out what is obvious to us because it clearly isn't obvious to all. So if I take a swipe at T20 it is not because I have suddenly realise it is a pile of carp, it is because I want the rest of the world who think it is good to understand that it actually isn't and then maybe refocus on real cricket which at the moment is in jeopardy.
