Katich passes 2000 runs in Tests
... at an average a tick under 42.
Time for Horrie to reassess?
Or is Horrie still in Fleas' ear?

Katich scored 'weigh' more than a duck, so burn him.

In the long term, I think Hussey and Katich should swap positions.

Re: Katich passes 2000 runs in Tests
It's tough for a Vixen to understand the concept but some runs are scored in more trying conditions than others. That is, they are worth more than other runs.
Kat has a history of scoring runs in difficult conditions (against India in 03/4 and later in 04, in Sri Lnaka, at Trent Bridge, in the most recent India series, this match etc) hence the upgrade in his average.
TAYPODGE on the other hand gets a 38% weighting on his double ton in Perth so his average falls to about 41.

Well done to Fleas.
A perfect example of how to suck up the poor treatment, get your head down, score a mountain of runs and say "Listen you stoopid farkin NSP, try not selecting me now, you qunts."

Maybe Hayden should try it.

It's much too late in the 'piece' for that. Hayden will retire a bitter old child bullier.

Yep, with 100+ tests, around 9000 runs @ 50+ and 30-odd tons.
Farkin legend.

Aye. After peaking at a micro moot hair under 59 (March 2004) he has now barely the same pube above 52, and dropping fast.taipan wrote:skully wrote:Well done to Fleas.

Drunky's average is also starting to retract rather fast.

Phurt, skully. Haydos still saves us 100+ runs a game with his slip catching . . . or do you want Roy, Pup and Huss back at 1, 2 and 3? Or maybe Fleas and Frenchie?

A fair call on the catching, tac. We wouldn't have still had a chance of squaring the series going into Tea on the 4th day of T4 in India, only for Dos's excellent catching. Pity he didn't use those hands to slap Drunky around 10 minutes after said Tea break.
Still, a few runs now and then would also compliment his bucket hands at 1st slip.

Re: Katich passes 2000 runs in Tests
The very fact that Hayden (finally) admitted that he's been pondering his future recently is imo a sure sign that he'll retire at the end of this Aussie summer. Also, if anyone looked closely today, he gave what appeared to be a quick ''I'll miss you" look around the Gabba today before he walked off the ground after being dismissed (for a first baller....hahahaha). Unless he's nudged by the selectors beforehand, he'll be retiring at the end of the Saffie series.
In Hayden's favour is the fact that there is no standout opener in domestic cricket to replace him. Jaques is out for the season. Despite Horrie's constant orgasms, it's too early for Hughes. Rogers didn't look up to it at Perth last season, and for all the hype, Shaun Marsh has a pretty poor first class record.
The most logical option would be to open with Mike Hussey, and bring his younger brother David into the middle order. Doesn't look like that will happen, though.

I agree. I thought Haydos would be the first person to end his career with an aggregate in the 9000s but it looks like he will be short of that. Only question is whether he can overtake Inzi, Javed and Gooch.

Hayden is a racist evangelical who looks down upon anyone who is not white. Ofcourse all this is couched in his high-sounding queensland evangelical jehadi (evanjehadi) rhetoric.

I know feeding the trolls is considered dangerous foruming, but what the heck.
Hayden is a Roman Catholic.

he has a strong evangelical background.
All darkie heathens need to convert to the light of Christianity before they attain enlightenment yada yada yada .. this encapsulates their world view and why they say things that run contrary and seemingly opposite to their actions.
