Horses for courses selection policy from test to test breeds instability which promotes crapness

Yet, it seems like commonsense until we can get a team good for all conditions . . .

Adelaide coming off Brisbane is about the only sequence where 'horses for courses' makes obvious sense. You know Brisbane's early summer humidity means the ball will swing, and Adelaide's a highway all year round. Trying to pick on 'horses for courses' for Perth, Sydney or Melbourne is pure guesswork.

Of course, Nerky. You have a tour of India followed by Brisbane followed by Adelaide . . . natural to have a change of team for the odd test out . .

So which ground requires some intelligence to play at, because I'm pretty sure Drunky will get that one off.

Melbourne could be a bit of a problem - the navigation skills needed to get to the middle from the dressing room are a tad challenging, I think I've heard....

The point has been made that we always selected on merit whereas there has been this about face. Others are suggesting that Hilditch is not exactly covering himself in glory publicly when endeavouring to explain his modus operandi.

Loved the line about no-one thinking Dean Jones and Michael Slater had played their last Test when dropped.
Bwahahahahaha, I certain did, or at least prayed they had!!
