The One wrote:point really is that if your home season clashes with the home season of other countries in an increasingly jammed international calendar you will have to tour the odd year if you want to be fair. if you want to be greedy or unreasonable, then yeah, you would say no
at some point aus will be made to tour in dec-jan. its a matter of time
absurd...who will make us?...the ICC??...BCCI?...what would be the sanction if we declined (politely) the invitation to tour?

Re: Aussies angry with SA push to 'pinch' Boxing Day test.
South Africa has held Boxing Day Tests every year since its readmission to Test cricket, except for the years it tours Australia.
Most of which have been attended by next to nobody.
The MCG has hosted a Boxing Day Test every summer for around 30 years, almost every one of which has had at two or three days with acrowd in excess of 50 000.
South Africa has the chance to try and build up an argument on economic grounds, but so far has failed to do so.

AFL fans are very familar with this particular bitch-slap when Collingwood and Essendon play every Anzac Day. Other clubs whine like Michael Bolton doing a Mudge impersonation, but so what? They got there first, so tough toenails. And I don't follow either or them..
Same applies here.

Yeah, lets play tests in the other countries between may and August. The players will love those conditions......

I'd farkin happily see CA accommodate the Zimmers, Bangers, Windies, Pakistan or anyone else in top end tours in the Aus winter.Henry wrote:Fred Nerk wrote:England monopolises Test cricket for three months every year, and Trev bitches like a primary school girl who missed out on her lolly allocation about one week.

spivs are egregious, manipulating, over rated, , shockers...the whole fetid state should be surgically removed from Australia along with their northern cousins...and you'll finish at the bottom of the Shield table propping up the barrells...
btw S why don't you post on the Shield thread?
aah that is better.... a return to normal transmission

Why h, what's happening on the Shield thread? You bagging the tripe out of the Spivs, perchance?

FFS people, move along.
This has been under discussion for the last 3 years to my certain knowledge.
Trust red to pick up on old news.

...most unjust...in my famously fair minded way I have been talking up dubbers - howard and twiggy....tho have been unable to get on board the reeks bandwagon..
the thread also commented on the tons in each innings made by North and Ginga...only second time in Shield history that this has happened ..
admit there was passing reference to the great WA v Vics match and to the toasting spivs received from the billies...
none of it offensive...iyou would be most welcome on the thread

And no taips, I can't help myself..
In an article about the pink ball trial in the UAE was this gem:
15 per cent? Pissweak.
In an article about the pink ball trial in the UAE was this gem:
"The fixture also provides a perfect platform for us to conduct valuable research to aid the development of the world game. In 2010 while the Melbourne Ashes Test attracted near record crowds, the contest between the top two ranked sides, South Africa and India in Durban recorded ticket sales of less than 15 per cent of the total sold at the MCG," he said.
15 per cent? Pissweak.

Yes Zat, I have said many times that the crowds in Durban are poor and that they shouldn't get a test.
