Terry Alderman - he had this talent of appealing to english umpires in such a way that they couldn't help raise their finger.

Terry Alderman was very annoying in that LBW test match...he got 6 or 7 wickets in the match and ALL of them were LBWs which cost PAK the series in AUS!

The most talented I ever saw when I was at the ground was Shoaib Akhtar. Absolutely destroyed us in the best spell of fast bowling I've seen in person.
On TV Warne and McGrath.

Glenn McGrath. No-one as innocuous and dour has possessed quite as much genius as dear old Glenn. I'm convinced that his accuracy was such that he could have pleasured opposition batsmen, delivery-by-delivery, if he had so pleased.

I only saw TV footage of him, but Malcolm Marshall has to be right up there. He could do anything with a cricket ball- Inswingers, outswingers, bouncers, yorkers....

the most amazing thing for me is that he bowled with a weird run up and an open chested action and was STILL able to bowl big outswingers...almost unbelievable.

Yes Marshall was really good. Off late this guy Ajantha Mendis is not too bad, will be interesting to see if he can be as lethal one or two years down the track.

Can't remember, some random CC game against Northants. For Worcestershire I think, though I may be wrong.PlanetPakistan wrote:Shoaib barely played in ENG...which match was this?vilkrang wrote:The most talented I ever saw when I was at the ground was Shoaib Akhtar. At Shield level ....one of the great tragedies for Oz cricket (IMO) that he was never able to bring his game up to Test level
