Re: ***Official 08/09 Sheffield Shield comp***
you have to admire the BNLG's determination...but why isn't he playing in the 2's or 3's...number 6 in District (or equiv) Cricket is usually reserved for a promising young kid....still much of the BNLG career was spent keeping better and more promising players out of the wozzie and Oz test teams...he is consistent

Squads Named
10/12/2008
The WACA's State Match Committee has selected 12-man teams for three upcoming matches – the Retravision Warriors' tour match against South Africa at the WACA Ground tomorrow, the WA XI's two-day clash with the Proteas beginning at the WACA Ground on Friday, and the Retravision Warriors' Weet-Bix Sheffield Shield encounter against the VB Victorian Bushrangers.
The teams are as follows:
Retravision Warriors Squad – Tour Match v South Africa, Thursday 11 December, WACA Ground
Adam Voges (Captain), David Bandy, Liam Davis, Brett Dorey, Ben Edmondson, Aaron Heal, Matt Johnston, Trent Kelly, Steve Magoffin, Shaun Marsh, Luke Pomersbach, Luke Ronchi.
WA XI Squad – Tour Match v South Africa, Friday 12 to Saturday 13 December, WACA Ground
Craig Simmons (Captain), Justin Coetzee, Paul Davis, Theo Doropoulos, Aaron Heal, Clint Heron, Michael Johnson, Matt Johnston, Josh Mangan, Drew Porter, Wes Robinson, Chris Thompson.
Retravision Warriors Squad – Weet-Bix Sheffield Shield Match v VB Victorian Bushrangers, Monday 15 to Thursday 18 December, MCG
Marcus North (Captain), David Bandy, Liam Davis, Paul Davis, Brett Dorey, Ben Edmondson, Aaron Heal, Steve Magoffin, Shaun Marsh, Luke Pomersbach, Luke Ronchi, Adam Voges.
There are two changes to the Warriors squad from their last one-day hit-out – a Ford Ranger Cup match against the Bushrangers at the WACA Ground on 26 November. In to the team come Steve Magoffin and Matt Johnston for Theo Doropoulos and skipper Marcus North.
North has had an injection on his right shoulder and will be given time to recover ahead of taking his place in the Weet-Bix Sheffield Shield team next Monday. Adam Voges will lead the Warriors tomorrow in his absence.
Doropoulos will miss tomorrow's one-day match with a minor back complaint, but will be fit to take his place in the WA XI line-up for the two-day game, alongside Aaron Heal and Paul Davis, who will fly out to Melbourne on Sunday and join the Retravision Warriors' Weet-Bix Sheffield Shield squad.
There are two changes to the Warriors' Weet-Bix Sheffield Shield squad from the one which took on the Bushrangers in their last four-day game at the WACA Ground – pacemen Ben Edmondson and Paul Davis come in for Trent Kelly and Arron Crawford.
The Weet-Bix Sheffield Shield squad departs Perth on Saturday morning for the four-day match and a Ford Ranger Cup game against the Bushrangers on Saturday 20 December, before heading to Sydney for a Ford Ranger Cup match against the RTA SpeedBlitz Blues on Tuesday 23 December.
