Re: ***Official 08/09 Sheffield Shield comp***
"WA XI Squad – Tour Match v South Africa, Friday 12 to Saturday 13 December, WACA Ground
Craig Simmons (Captain), Justin Coetzee, Paul Davis, Theo Doropoulos, Aaron Heal, Clint Heron, Michael Johnson, Matt Johnston, Josh Mangan, Drew Porter, Wes Robinson, Chris Thompson."
Now there's a sponsorship opportunity, esp if Mitch ever gets to play alongside them as well. Though WA sport and pharmaceutical products is a bit of a problematic combination just at the moment.....

What's the diff between sky-writing a marriage proposal and Trev?
One's a cupid stunt, and the other's....
some lamebrain who posts on a cricket forum.
(Not my line - blame John Clarke!)

The Africans are 2/53 with Kallis and Amla at the crease. Duminy made 16 and Mckenzie 4. Amla is on 26.

Kallis is rocketing along at a strike-rate of three. 1 after 33 balls. Amla 35 off 56. Imagine what the Aussie attack will do to him.

WA also start in a slow vein. 0/13 from 7 with Ntini tight and Tsotsobe has bowled three maiden overs. Marsh hasn't troubled the scorers yet after facing 19 overs.

Zondeki into the attack has expedited the scoring. Personally I don't know what they see in him. If Steyn is injured and out, you'd wonder if they'd consider Tsotsobe before him. He bowled six overs for two runs after taking the new ball.

Re: ***Official 08/09 Sheffield Shield comp***
On a difficult pitch the Yarpies looked rusty. The pace bowlers did well, but the spinners got smashed.
Voges played well and was looking like perhaps sneaking a ton but got dismissed on the last ball of the over after taking 6, 4, 4, 4, 4 off the first five.
Bizare playing conditions...no fielding restrictions and they played on after WA passed the yarpie total.
And they have a 2 day game starting today. Not sure why they just didn't play a three day game

WHy are you still asking questions about the scheduling on this tour? None of it makes sense any more, and there are no answers to any of it.Invader Zim wrote:And they have a 2 day game starting today. Not sure why they just didn't play a three day game

They play the Vomits on Monday in a Shield game so the 2 day game is against our second XI

so you really were convinced the Klunker would come good this year?
when he was a teen Klunker was expected to be the next big thing in Oz cricket...it seems that he then lost his way...was given many chances in vixenville but failed to fire...good for him to have struck this amazing run of form
