Let's compare and contrast:

1. they get into a good position then take their feet off the accellerator.

2. they have unpenetrative spinners

3. they have one good batsman.

4. they have a good left-arm quick supported by not much

3. England would happily take Ponting, Hussey and probably Clarke (although he is a slightly less bad version of Ian Bell) and Katich if you offered them to their batting line-up.

4. Their good left-arm quick actually gets out on the park once in a while.
