This would be a big thread to have to close just because a couple of people couldn't keep their cyber-weenies in their pants.
No-one cares about your crap. This thread isn't about you.

I just spotted Billie Doctrove emerging rather sheepishly from a Ladbrokes shop across the street from the Tribunal offices in Holborn ... appears he took the 1/10 on offer for Hair to win his case ...
clearly bullish about the chances then !!

Some ginchy kids band. Did a song 'its all about you'. Dello knew. He just didn't want to damage his credibility by nodding to the affirmative. Coward.

say even if hair wins, how enforceable would be the decree on the icc? isnt it HQed in dubai now? could they cock a snook at the courts and refuse to pay the fine? conceivably not hold an icc event in the uk again if need be?

From crocinfo . . .
Why are we hearing from Prince Tunku Imran?
In the morning ICC associate board member Prince Tunku Imran of Malaysia told the hearing by phone he had been "concerned" because Hair was apparently the man who stood in the way of the match resuming. "I thought that Darrell had exercised bad judgement on that day by failing to consult with the match referee," he said.

Clearly the employment contract between the ICC and Hair must be governed by UK Law for the tribunal to be heard in London.
If the ICC lose, they can appeal - but judging from past high profile cases, it is unlikely they, as employers, will do that.
Unless of course something significant and applicable, not presented here, comes to light.
In general, Tribunal judgements are observed and the findings/proposed settlements areaccepted.
One thing's for certain, if Hair does win, his contract won't be renewed!!
Not that that will bother him if he gets his compensation.

In which case the ICC need to go back and look at their own rule book that says the umpires are the sole arbiters on the field of play.

I can't see Hair winning now Prince Tunku Imran has spoken out against him. He's an important voice that should be respected.

Then they become criminals. Doesn't exactly look good on the CV - a governing body of a sport refusing to pay up. Not good for the sponsors

Of course they can do whatever they like.
But if Hair chases them through the Courts, then they're farked - as their action to walk away will reflect badly on them.
And should they lose again, it might cost them more.
Apart from which, them walking away from their responsibilities, will fragment the delicate truce that currently exists between the member countries.
Sad day if that happens.

I'm just wondering why he gave evidence at the hearing.
