Worst England sides I can remember:

1988 vs WI (the summer of four captains)

1989 vs Aus (when half the side went AWOL to SA)

1999 (NZzzzzz beat us in England)

I've always felt like slapping people with the surname Thomas, when they name their son John.

I have also come across a Richard Sole

Groundsman Mike Hunt hasn't been held back at all.

Jo King is on there as well, another one with cricket connections (TMS scorer on occasions).

I reckon the summer of 1986 must be up there, losing at home to both NZ & India.

Unfortunate names do have their upside. The archbishop of Manila, Cardinal Sin, certainly got a fair bit of publicity out of his.
