I agree from both a first-class and international point of view "The Boil" seems a better bet than the inconsistent Towny Grigg (who did little for his county after getting into the England side). More notable omissions appear to be Fred Titmus, Ted Dexter and Nass.

Fair point in regards to Greig and Bailey at county level. Greig was far better at test level. Dexter could come in at number 6, I suppose, with him and Compton sharing the 5th bowler duties.
Titmus would have to replace Hearne which wouldn't be right with all due respect to Toesie. Hussein would probably make the 2nd XI.
