Age? Nowt to do with it! The only issue I'd have with the 60s is: too much Beatles, not enough Queen, i.e. none. But Clapton in his various guises, The Small Faces, The Kinks, The Who, are alright with me.

Some Stones: Wild Horses, You Can't Always Get What You Want, Start Me Up, Paint It Black, but i'm not a massive fan.

Motown - yup. Temptations, Detroit Spinners, Gloria Gaynor, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye - live in Montreux is fab, although not 60s - 4 tops etc etc.

Agree with REM and Pink Floyd, Zimmy. Never got into Radiohead.

Uhhh, I'd get some Kings of Leon sharpish.

Also, some Don Johnson maybe, some Captain Beefheart, some Stone Temple Pilots, some Cure et al.(i.e. if your 80's doesn't encapsulate the likes of the Smiths, Police, Jam, Specials etc.), Squarepusher, Korn, Beastie Boys, Dinosaur Jr., Pavement, Weezer, Darondo... the list is endless.

You lot are (mostly) bloody useless. I don't live in a cave - I'm generally aware of the best popular beat combos of the last 40 years. I want individual songs- my little Ipo can only hold about a 1000 of them and I want some 3 minute gems which I wouldn't normally come across or consider someone might cherish. I might not like them but at least I'm getting some insight into other people's worlds. If I wanted lists of bland MOR rock bands I'd go to boringlists.com.
