The new look Cricinfo
Thoughts?
Like most updated websites these days, it seems to have become more complicated to navigate. I guess i'll get used to it, though.

Oh dear. Now they have had to go back to the old site. Obviously too many glitches on the new one.

Haven't seen it live but from the looks of it it'll be heavy with flash & graphics.

Tried to use it before. Looks bad, doesn't work, un-navigable, too flashy.
Obviously gearing up for the T20 gilly.

Re: The new look Cricinfo
Just little things, like going from the live scorecard of one match back to the live scorecards summary- It opens a new window when I try and click back. F*cking annoying.

I'm sure they'll improve it. But I let out a little 'sigh' when I saw the ESPN branding...

I saw ESPN and went 'Oh Fark!" Was hoping it's just some temporary tie in with the T20 gilly.

Re: The new look Cricinfo
ESPN has been hosting cricinfo for about 2 years now. It's just that the new site has decided to make them more prominent.

Re: The new look Cricinfo
It now looks very similar to the rugby site they also own. Although on the positive side I discovered recently they now have a rugby archive/stats database very similar to the Cricinfo one.skully wrote:Indeed JKL.JKLever wrote:I'm sure they'll improve it. Actually now its speeded up a bit the actual stats & scorecards don't work too bad at all.

Re: The new look Cricinfo
Yeah, fair call, JKL. I like the little "+" sign next to the batsmen and bowlers in the scorecards. If you click on it you get a detailed description of how they got out or how they took their wickets. Noice. Maybe they could add a youtube link as well.JKLever wrote:Actually now its speeded up a bit the actual stats & scorecards don't work too bad at all.

Re: The new look Cricinfo
You have to wait until the end of the match for any score to update.
I hope these glitches are fixed by the time The Ashes comes and we can follow ball-by-ball without any lag.
