McGrath bowling Empty McGrath bowling

Deserves its own thread:

Cheers as McGrath gets the ball. Raghu: "I predict McGrath's first ball will hit the top of off stump. This guy is a machine."

5.1 McGrath to Jayawardene, no run, ah, there you go! Right on the dime, hits a length and Jayawardene defends
5.2 McGrath to Jayawardene, 1 run, walks down and heaves the ball with an inside edge to midwicket
5.3 McGrath to Kulatunga, 2 runs, comes out and chips the ball over cover, Dilshan reacts well in the deep and keeps them to two
5.4 McGrath to Kulatunga, no run, fuller ball and he defends off the front foot
5.5 McGrath to Kulatunga, no run, hits a length outside off and beats the angled bat
5.6. McGrath to Kulatunga, 1 run, aims for a fuller length, Kulatunga gets across and turns it to mid-on

How long has it been?

Fella could probably make most international teams even now if he had a mind.

Delhi might have even won the IPL last year if they had bothered playing him.

But he got thumped around a bit in the semi for Delhi last year. Remember he was bowling on a pitch which was very difficult for the batsmen to get the ball away. And he was bowling to a domestic team in T20. Do we extrapolate selectively?

The pitch was thus described. Most deliveries skidded through at shin height, which made playing across the line or forcing the pace nigh-on impossible.

I guess we will see if it is indeed possible to make a silk purse from a sow's ear
