Explosive Threads Revisited. Empty Explosive Threads Revisited.

Post by DJ_Smerk Thu 22 Oct 2009, 08:14

Which threads would you most like to revisit....to relive particular moments.

There are several threads I recall being funny/harsh/mentally destructive.

I'll throw some names out there, see where they end up.

I think he was mix of Merls/JKL and Taipan.

I'm not sure because those three seem like tidy forummers, isn't it.

This brings further debate to why LLL thought Taipan was Pixie. He couldn't have been Pixie because in effect Taipan is Horace and Horace is Skully.

It's a crazy world.

It's not wrong to laugh at any of these threads.

Note: the majority of explosiveness comes from individual posters and their differences. It usually has nothing to do with the thread title or actual subject matter involved.

VoR's tendency to get territorial under stress was always a potential highlight, but his volcanic reaction to Horrie's (completely innocent) RIP to Chris Mainwearing was specially memorable.

Hmmm ... kero induced rantings!
Does that count?
Nigel's permanently kero induced, judging from the sh*t he scribes all the time!

I can't recall any explosive threads - most of the stuff I've read has been funny. Although, I do recall Horace and Skully getting a bit testy with each other one day What a Face

Think I would have liked to have been here for THAT Aust v Banindia test. What was the general consensus, if their was one?

Indians - 'Bhajji didn't say it'.

Aussie - We are the spirit of cricket, mite.

Neutrals - divided. My stancepoint? Really coincidental that he said something that sounded somewhat like monkey and that must have looked exactly like monkey from a lip-reading point of view.

Meh, h and I understand one another. He's OK.

And you would have loved the Sydney BanIndian Test threads, sk. There was MonkeyGate, Roy's reprieve, Hoggy's antics, and loads of other great stuff. It was reasonably amicable enough until Pup took those three quick wickets to steal the Test late on Day 5. Even then it was OK and mostly focussed on how tragic is was that Jumbo's magnificent rear guard effort was wasted.

Then Jumbo said what he said at the immediate post match press conference, the Indian press applauded like demented monkeys and the joint just erupted. For a solid week it was pure Bails Gold. Jan 08 is still easily the monthly post record holder, and will never be beaten. Cool
