IMO, Pak should win the ODIs by 3-2 atleast.

In the tests though, contest should favour India slightly, may be 1-0. Bowling of Asif and Akhtar would be the key for Pak.

Since '04, Ind and Pak have played 3 series, so this would be 4th series in 4 years.

Though it must said that they played virtually nothing in whole of '90s and early '00s. Apart from some occasional ODI series, just a single 2-test series was played in India in 14 years.

I think even ICC has granted BCCI and PCB to host a series every 2 years, like they did for Ashes.

Every two years sounds right IMHO. It's the three series' in two years that made the thing a bit cheap.

I just checked ICC FTP and found that Ind and Pak will play another 3 tests and 5 ODIs in 12 months time, this time in Pak.

Though after that '08 tour, both won't play another series till '12, unless something dramatic happens between BCCI and PCB.
