Has Midge told Cooley to p!ss off?
Midge's form in recent Tests has been much improved from the tosh he bowled in Ashes 09.
With Bubbles taking the new ball and Midge first change, it looks a much more balanced attack and Midge seems to appreciate not being the spearhead.
Midge seems to be sliding up and letting Thommo "wangs" go with late reverse swing. Methinks he has told Cooley to shove his bowling technique theory up his clacker.

MJ is not a new-ball bowler.

He knows it, and we know it, but TPTB seem to have convinced themselves that Midge needed to be the spearhead.
Ashes 09 proved that to be folly.

Yep . . . he looked so much better yesterday and today . . . seemed to be bowling closer to the stumps so a much tighter line . . . a bit down on pace, but he seeemd to be bowling within himself . . .

I know Troy Cooley's brother. Just thought I'd mention it. He works for a hotel.

Thanks for this thread skully.
I knew Johnson's technique had been wonky, but didn't know why.
I can't understand why peeps try to change a natural technique - it's one thing to refine and find new deliveries, another to pull a technique to bits. That must just be a confidence-smasher.
Anyhoo, J looks so much better as a first-changer. And happier.
And since you mentioned that fact about Cooley's brother, shoey, I thought I'd add that yesty I heard Siddle used to be a wood chopper. True!

Explains his batting
I asked Jason to pass on my thanks for his bro's work in 2005. He told me to get farked.

You Are cheeky, shoey.
A just-found Cooley quote (which I'm shewer you will know, but I thought was hilarious just the same):
'They've (England) got some nasty fasties. They've got bounce and things like that.'

He's a decent bloke actually. And it was over lunch, so fairly civilised. And only a month or so after we'd hammered and walloped the evil Aussies again, so well worthwhile.
