Probably a wise decision given that NZ need him more for his batting.

Not a wise decision considering NZ cricket is hardly packed full of talented players. He's certainly not the worst gloveman. For the balance of their side NZ need him to wear the gloves, surely.

It might lengthen his LOI and IPL career though. I don't think he'll be bought by KKR this time around. He's getting on and he has to think about putting food on the table.

He's not the worst outfielder I've seen either. Pretty quick across the grass and hasn't got the traditional custard arm that keepers seem to have.

Gilly never thought about taking the gloves off.

McCullum's a hack - not quite the player he believes himself to be.

Yeah, McCullum is a little overrated. I think i'm right in saying that he has never scored a test century against teams that aren't Bangladesh, the Windies, and maybe Pakistan.

If he really wants to watch his workload, then maybe he should consider skipping the IPL?

Doubt that will happen. He probably earns more in the IPL than he does in 3 years of playing for NZ. Not saying that's right, just that he's getting on and has a new addition to his family.

Still, his 118* v Aus in the last T20 between NZ and Aus and his opening knock in the IPL were sumpent special. Shocked
