Re: Le Tour 2010
Did he get caught up in the big crash. I know he was 35s behind Cancellara after the prologue.
Great stage tonight - a fair bit of it on cobblestones Paris-Roubaix style. Apparnetly Contador hasn't done any race training on the cobblestones this season so there could be some crashes.

39 seconds down, with one team mate VSF and out about 15 minutes into the race.
Evans most likely gawn as a contender this year.

Still 39 seconds behind Cancellara. Evans's problem is one of his team mates (Mathias?) was injured and out of the race in the first stage.

The usual bike curious suspects then.
Speaking of, WTF has happened to Cavendish? Has he changed suppliers or sumthink?

I not going to acknowledge that Evans is even in the race until they've completed all the climbing. Anything prior to the mountains ain't even foreplay.

Re: Le Tour 2010
Cadel seems to have had a fall - not good given the first category 1 climb is today.

Re: Le Tour 2010
Andy Schleck wins the stage & goes into second overall. Cadel is now in the Yellow Jersey despite the fall. Contador in third overall.
The big news of the day was that Lance Armstrong cracked losing more than eleven minutes. He also had a couple of falls earlier in the day which might have affected his performance.

Great honour for Cadel but Schleck looks pretty good though.

Re: Le Tour 2010
Was Contador really struggling towards the end there or just not wanting to show his hand this early? Schleck will need minutes on him to stand a chance in the time trial at the end.
Looks like one tour too far for Lance, I guess he will battle on to help out Leipheimer, he's not one to give up. It was remarkable how competitive he was last year I suppose, how many more would he won if it hadn't been for his initial retirement?
Wiggins doesn't look in the form he was last year although managed to keep the losses to a level where he's still in touch.

Re: Le Tour 2010
And Cadel comes out after the 8th stage wearin the yellow, with a 20 second lead.
Now all he has to do is hang on to it for another 12 stages.
