I've Heard it all Now!
Just heard on the radio that Father Christmas should not be allowed to say "HO HO HO," anymore cos it could be offensive to women.
Instead, he should say "HA HA HA."
I swear it's true.

Because the image of a bearded old man demanding children sit on his knee and tell him that they've been bad isn't in any way creepy....

So I suppose General "He He He" will be offensive to men.

'Hello sonny. Oooh, you're squirming on my lap - I'll give you 5 minutes to stop that. Have you been good this year? Have you ever been in a Turkish prison?'
... oh no, not creepy at all.

There was something in the paper the other day that fat Father Christmases will be banned because it sets a bad example to children or something to that effect.

If I'm having a bad hair day I'd be offended if he broke into HA HA HA as I passed... And after five hours of Christmas shopping ANY day is a bad hair day.Demelza wrote:Just heard on the radio that Father Christmas should not be allowed to say "HO HO HO," anymore cos it could be offensive to women.

It's pathetic isn't it but you know who is behind it. It's some stuffy white bod at a council who has decided for minorities what they'll be offended by.

That's like bloody yanks and their "Happy Holidays". Coca Cola adverts being a particular annoyance that do it.

I once joined a protest at the American Embassy in Grosvenor Square. Several thousand people chanfed Ho Ho Ho Chi Minh.
Ha Ha Ha Chi Minh wouldn't have had the same impact, i feel.
