He undoubtedly could blast the opposition out if he could manage to bowl more than 4 overs every other session.

Kinda like between a rock and a hard place!

Frankly, good as he might be in short bursts of 4 over of rapid throat balls, there's no guarantee that he'll hit the straps first ball - and if he's dishing dosh thereafter, he's not just ballast - he becomes a liability ...

However, my advice to Hilditch is to try him out in the first 5 tests down under .... couch

It's just not about bowling a certain number of overs. Big difference between getting wkts in T20/ODI and Tests. Extreme pace bowlers usually get lot of cheap wkts in T20/ODI because batsmen are always under pressure to score runs.
